Peekghost shows public Instagram content that account owners chose to publish. We do not host or archive Instagram videos: they are streamed on demand from Instagram's servers through a short-lived link and are not stored. We do keep resized copies of public images (profile pictures, story and post images) in a size-capped performance cache, and we cache text metadata (see the privacy policy). If you believe material that appears through the tool infringes your copyright, send a notice.

What to include

1. Your name, postal address, email address and phone number.
2. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed.
3. The URL of the page on this site that shows the material, and, if you can, the Instagram URL of the post or story.
4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act for the owner.
6. Your physical or electronic signature.

Send the notice by email to the address above, or by post. You can also use the removal form (choose "Other" and paste the details), but the email address is faster.

What we do

We review notices when we receive them and act on valid ones promptly, which can include blocking lookups of the account or removing cached copies of the material. We may forward a copy of the notice, with your contact details, to the person affected. Sending a false notice can make you liable for damages. Repeat infringers are blocked.

Counter-notice

If you think material was blocked by mistake you can send a counter-notice to the same address with: your name and contact details; identification of the blocked material; a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was blocked by mistake or misidentification; and consent to the jurisdiction of the courts of your address (or, outside the United States, of Tel Aviv, Israel). If the original complainant does not tell us within 10 to 14 business days that they have started court action, we may restore the material.
